Gaming IQ have just completed a report on the evolution of QA in the gaming industry; from the early days of programmers writing and testing the games themselves through to the dedicated QA teams and outsourced models of today.
The report covers various aspects of how QA has changed, touching upon some of the history of gaming, the move to outsourced solutions and the growth of agile methodologies within testing, via a few examples of some of the more notorious buggy games (something we’ll be posting about in the near future!).
It has been published over on the Game QA and Localisation Forum website, where you can download it for free.
Go check it out!
